Hustadvika, Norway :: Landscape Photography

Here’s another shot of Hustadvika, Norway. It’s a 10 mile long stretch of coast near Fræna, maybe an hour from where we live. It’s known for its fantastic scuba diving and surfing, as well as the fact that it’s one of the most dangerous stretches of coast in the country. The zillions of little islets and reefs have caused the demise of many ships. I think next winter I’ll hit this place up with my underwater housing and a drysuit, and get some images from beneath the sea. I’m totally stoked to go winter diving here — the water will be beyond clear. Cold, of course, but clear.

The llight and sunsets at Hustadvika are outrageous. I think I’d like to spend a couple of weeks just sleeping on the beach with a camera and a tripod, and shooting whatever appears out of the sky.
